Blue Ocean Eco Business Group, a startup with an impressive pedigree in designing energy systems, approached Oculus to design a complete brand identity system for its numerous divisions.
One of the primary requirements was to create an mark that would be memorable, flexible, and stand out in a crowded marketplace dominated by me-too identities that simply blurred into one another. We conducted a Brand Clarity workshop to dig into the principals’ desires and motivations and explore the direction and goals for the brand. We then crafted a modular brand identity that captured the brand’s energy and hope for a better tomorrow through well-designed alternate energy platforms.
Based on a single, elementary, repeating shape that moves and morphs into different forms and colours for each division, the mark integrates themes of transparency, transformation and renewal.
